Wade Tolley, 84, Hampton, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020, in The Waters of Roan Highlands, Roan Mountain, after an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Charlie & Lockie Hileman Tolley. Wade attended Hampton High School. He was a farmer.
Wade was a member of Morgan Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years: Linda Barnett Tolley.
Two Sons: David Wade Tolley and Christopher Mark Tolley. Two Grandchildren: Robert Tolley and Rebekah.
One Great Granddaughter: Ella Hope Tolley. Two Brothers: Jack and Herman Tolley. Two Sisters: Geneva and Shirlene Davis. Several nieces and nephews.
A Private Graveside Service will be conducted Wednesday, May 13, 2020, in the Collins Cemetery, Hampton with the Rev. Greg Whitehead and Rev. Troy Davis officiating. Active Pallbearers: George Collins, Lute Honeycutt, Zeke Tolley, Ronnie Townsend, Mike Clawson, Robbie Tolley and Ed Chambers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Delaney Teague, Jr. Clark, Wayne Blevins, Tim Chambers and Glen Gouge. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of The Waters of Roan Highlands.
