A free virtual concert featuring CCM Award Winning Artist Chris McClarney will be held Friday at 7 p.m.
The concert can be viewed over the East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy Facebook page or East River Park Christian Church’s Youtube Channel.
McClarney grew up in the church as the son of a youth pastor and met Jesus at a very young age. When he was 14 he began leading worship for a small group, which led to a full-time ministry in local churches and inner-city ministry across Nashville.
His powerful worship anthem “Your Love Never Fails” has become one of the most popular songs in America’s churches. Currently, his latest single, “I’m Listening,” can be heard on radio all over the world. His new EP, “Fill This Space,” containing three brand new songs recorded live — “Valley,” “What A Friend,” and “Center Stage” — was released in November 1919.
According to Ron Marvel, Director, the concert is being held in lieu of East Tennessee Christian Home and Academy’s annual benefit dinner, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Marvel also said ETCH would love for churches or individuals to host a watch party for the concert. Directions for the watch party can be found on the organization’s Facebook page.
Marvel said that typically ETCH has eight to 12 girls in its home and school, located in Elizabethton, and ministers to 30 to 40 families through its BLOOM Program and school.
