On June 27, 1935, Colin Carlyle Walls was born to Remley and Rosie Walls in Mingo County, W.Va. C.C. proudly served in the U.S. Navy in the Korean Conflict. Upon returning home, C.C. soon met and married the love of his life, Lois, and were together for 57 years until her passing. He gave of himself to his family and friends and to anyone in need. Having a gentle soul and loving heart, C.C. was always considerate of others and put their needs above himself. All who knew C.C. became instantly aware that he was a special person. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. C.C. was always full of life and smiled through the roughest times. He loved nature, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. We will miss his genuine love, his stories, and the smell of coffee upon entering his home.
Those left to cherish his memory are Greg and Roberto Walls and Sandy and Bud Hazelwood. He also has two grandchildren, Megan and Brody Hazelwood. We honestly do not know how tomorrow will look without him, but it is comforting to know he has been reunited with his beloved Lois.
