TRC sets district tournament schedule

With all regular-season games completed in the Three Rivers Conference, the district has set their matchups for the 2020 District 1-AA Boys’ and GIrls’ basketball tournament which will be played in the Dyer Dome on the campus of Sullivan East.
The tournament opens with a play-in game on each side as the six-seed Happy Valley boys and seven-seed Johnson County Longhorns will play at 7:30 pm on Wednesday following the girls play-in game between six-seed Unicoi County and seven-seed Happy Valley at 6 pm.
Play will run until the following Tuesday where the four teams left standing will gain a regional berth and have the opportunity to claim the tournament title.

The regional tournament will be played at Grainger County at the completion of the District tournament for Region 1 and Region 2. Seedings for the regional tournament is determined by finish in the district tournament.
The district tournament winner and runner-up will get a home game in the first round of the regional tournament.
