Elsie Kay Puckett Presnell

Elsie Kay Puckett Presnell, 73, Hampton, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, February 7, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Afton Carlos and Delphia Eleanor Dugger Puckett.
Elsie was a graduate of Hampton High School. She was retired from Tri-Cities Skin & Cancer Center. She was an active member of Deliverance Church of God where she had served as a Sunday School teacher for years. She was involved in several activities including baking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Patsy, Madge, Dorothy and Faye.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Harold Presnell; four children, Tammy Murray, Lisa Presnell and Robert H. Presnell, all of Hampton, and Billy Harold Presnell, Elizabethton; eight grandchildren, Jacqueline Range, Anthony (Alicia) Perry, Immanuel Elliott, Ashley Perry, Christa Presnell, Jonathon Hardin, Raylen Presnell and Elizabeth Kacmar; eight great-grandchildren, Mitchell Perry, Dexter Perry, Skilar Hardin, Samuel Range, Karter Roberson, Moira-Kaye Perry, Liam Presnell and Ezekiel Roberson; her siblings, Helen, Betty, Ronald, Donald and Afton; and several nieces and nephews.
A Service to Celebrate the Life of Elsie will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 11, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dean Presnell, the Rev. Hobart Bradshaw and the Rev. Mack A. Presnell officiating. Music will be provided by Mack and Michael Presnell. Interment will follow in the Markland Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Billy Harold Presnell, Robert Presnell, Anthony Perry, Jonathon Hardin, Jason Flisch and Afton Puckett. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronald Puckett, Donald Puckett, Timmy Church and her church family. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Smokey Mountain Medical Equipment and the staff of Avalon Hospice for the excellent care Elsie received.
