First Christian
Sunday morning worship at First Christian Church, Elizabethton, is at 9:45 a.m.
The minister, Michael Klaus, will continue his sermon series on Jonah, Old Testament prophet. Dr. David Mills will be the song leader for the service.
Sunday School with classes for all ages begins at 11 a.m.
Sunday and Wednesday evening services will begin at 6 p.m. Student Minister Brock Harrison will lead the youth and children ministries for each service.

Hunter United Methodist
Hunter United Methodist Church will host a breakfast for all first responders and veterans Saturday, Feb. 8, at 8 a.m.
The event is planned to honor veterans and first responders for their service and contributions to, not only our local communities, but our nation. “Often these dedicated men and women are taken for granted,” said a church spokesman.
Everyone is invited.
Hunter United Methodist Church is located at 722 Highway 91.

Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon, and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7 with proceeds going to the church building fund.
The public is invited to attend and enjoy the food and fellowship.

Roan Street Free Will
The Rev. Dexter Brummitt will preach Sunday at both the morning and evening service at Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church.
The morning service begins at 11 a.m. and the evening service at 6 p.m.
The church is located at 820 N. Roan St., and everyone is welcome.

Beck Mountain
A Taco Bar Fundraiser will be held Sunday at 12 noon at Beck Mountain Baptist Church.
Everyone is invited.

First Baptist
First Baptist Church, Elizabethton, will begin a Thursdays with Jesus service March 26.
Had a tough week, no way to get to services, work on Sunday, this service may be just for you.
The Thursdays with Jesus service will be held the last Thursday of each month at First Baptist Church, 212 E. F St.
The service will include a meal, time of prayer, and worship, beginning at 6 p.m. and continuing until 7:15 p.m.
A nursery will be provided as well as a children’s Bible study for pre-k through fifth grade.

First United Methodist
The Rev. Ray Amos, pastor, will preach the message “Where is Heaven On Earth?” at the Sunday morning worship service at First United Methodist Church. The sermon is based on the scripture Isa. 58: 8-12.
The service begins at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. after which the Senior High Ministries will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Sunday evening Bible study and Children Choir are held at 6 p.m. each Sunday. Also, the Life Lessons Adult Bible Study is held each Wednesday at 6 p.m.

First Presbyterian
The message “The Cost of Faith” will be presented Sunday at the 11 a.m. service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. The pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt, will preach, using the sermon text Job 1: 1-2; 12 as well as excerpts from chapters 7 and 24.
An education hour will be at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and yoga, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
