Senior Center Schedule

Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center for the week of February 3-7:

Membership Dues: $15 per year for 60 and older; $30 per year for 55-59. Come and join us and receive a monthly newsletter, have lunch, and enjoy the many activities and programs we provide every day and our fully-equipped fitness room.

Monday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; My Plate, 10 a.m. — Final class in the series with Lacie Young, Carter County Extension Office. Learn how to plan, shop and cook healthy, low-cost meals, quick tips and tricks to save money and cook well, plus tasty food sampling and free kitchen tools for you to take home; Lunch — Stuffed Pepper Soup, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Lunch —Meatloaf, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing is canceled today.

Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; TEACH, 10 a.m. Home-schooled friends, 4th-8th grade, will be here demonstrating how to train your dog. The program will end with a brief Bible Study; Lunch — Polish Sausage/Cabbage, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Thursday: Dancercise is canceled today; Lunch — Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti, 11 a.m.; SALT Meeting, 12:30 p.m.

Friday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Let’s Play Bingo, 10 a.m. No charge. Just for fun; Lunch — Meatball Sub, 11 a.m.

HOMEMADE APPLE BUTTER for sale! $12/quart; $6/pint. Stock up. When it’s gone there won’t be anymore until next fall.

*** Grandparents Raising Grandchildren will start back on Monday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. Free guidebooks for everyone. Refreshments.
