A traffic snarler… Accident on Highway 19-E slows traffic, sends one to hospital

A vehicle involved in an accident on Highway 19-E in front of Dollar General Store is loaded on a roll back under the watchful eye of the Elizabethton Police and Fire Departments on Thursday evening.
An accident on Highway 19-E in front of the Dollar General Store Thursday evening slowed traffic and sent one to the hospital after having to be extracted from their vehicle.
The Carter County Rescue Squad was seen loading the injured motorists into an ambulance as Elizabethton Fire Department personnel worked to clear shattered glass from a large area of the highway.
Traffic was stopped briefly by the Elizabethton Police Department and Carter County Sheriff’s Department to allow for the cleanup as the vehicle was loaded onto the back of a rollback to be moved from the scene.
No other information was available on the accident or status of the injured motorists.
