Ronnie “Coon” Vance

Ronnie “Coon” Vance, 61, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020, at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born November 2, 1958 in Elizabethton.
Coon was owner of State Line Auto Sales, Vance Farm & Garden Supply and Concrete with Character. He loved model cars and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Amy Bell Vance, and an uncle, Grady Vance.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Janet Blevins Vance; three sons, Daniel Vance and wife Missy, Jeremy Killen and wife Jennifer and Josh Killen and wife Sherri; his daughters, Becky Garland and Shamra Graves and husband Jeremy; 15 grandchildren; his brother, Anthony “Poss” Vance and fiancée Pam Tolley; several nieces and nephews; and his mentor, M.L. “Captain Jack.”
A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, February 1, at Memorial Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. prior to the service. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the 2800 Wing of Johnson City Medical Center and also a special thanks to RN, Shannon, of the 7500 Wing for going above and beyond.
