Keenburg sweeps Unaka on hardwood

The Keenburg Tigers took a pair of contests from the Unaka Jr. Rangers recently with the girls and boys both recording wins.
In girls’ action, Keenburg got a huge night from post player Bambi Nance who poured in 21 points in the contest to lead all scorers. Tiffany Dugger played a large contributing role as she would pump in nine points in the win.
Katie Hartley and Katie Markland each added a deuce apiece to balance the scoring ledger.
Unaka was led by Sadie Williams with 11 points in the loss. Callie Hardin netted eight points as well with Hannah Thomas and Emma Douglas recording two points each.
On the boys’ side, Keenburg took a 35-27 victory.
Noah Gill led the way with 14 points for the Tigers while Linberg finished with eight points.
TJ Thomas scored nine points to lead the Jr. Rangers.
