Cyclone grapplers square off in the Brawl in the Hall

BRISTOL – The Elizabethton Cyclone wrestling team made the trip to Bristol to take part in the Bill Brimer Brawl in the Hall with 25 other teams from as far away as Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
Led by Deuce Morton’s first-place finish winning five matches on the day, the Cyclones managed to complete the day in 10th place out of the 25 teams that participated.
Morton pinned Nolensville’s McKinley Wagner to take the 195 weight class to collect 28 team points for Elizabethton. Isiah King finished in fifth place wrestling at 113 to finish with 12.5 team points.
Holden Roaten also had a fifth-place finish at 106 and was awarded 11.5 team points.
In team competition, North Lebanon, Pennsylvania made the most of their trip to the Tri-Cities by taking first place with a score of 154 points. Dobyns-Bennett claimed second with 150.5 points as the two teams battled it out all day.
