To the Editor: I am strongly in favor of keeping McDonald’s open for business at the Walmart in Elizabethton. I visited McDonald’s this week and learned that it will be closing in January unless Walmart and McDonald’s can do a last-minute deal to save the lease. The Walmart McDonald’s is a popular place in this community, and it would be sorely missed.
