Have you heard that there is a new sign in town? Yes, it is true!

Elizabethton street signs now feature the Keep Carter County Beautiful logo. Danny Hilbert, Manager of the Elizabethton Street and Sanitation Department, said the department’s employees made the new signs, which will be installed on city streets.

Edward Jordan, KCCB board chairman, applauded Hilbert on the sign idea. “It’s a wonderful idea for our awareness program! We sincerely appreciate and thank Mr. Hilbert and the City of Elizabethton for actively getting involved in supporting our anti-litter and illegal dumping campaign.”

The metal signs are professionally made of a reflective material and will feature the KCCB logo designed by Mike McDonald, (KCCB) board member.

Jordan said he would also like to see the Carter County Road Dept. to do the same thing for road and bridge signs in the county as well as the State for state roads in the county.

“It’s another way of promoting anti-littering and keeping our county clean,” said Jordan.
