Aubrey Frank Ensor, 88, Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home Tuesday, December 17, 2019. He was born September 06, 1931, to John and Mary Kress Ensor, Elizabethton, Tennessee, where he grew up. He served in the United States Army in the Korean War Conflict. He was retired from Tri-State Container. He was an avid sportsman and loved to fish, hunt, and watch sports.

He was a member of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church where he loved his Sunday School Class. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings Ida Connelly, Velma Davis, Rob Ensor, Ivan Ensor, Moilee Lewis, Ella Mae Bishop, and Glen Ensor. He is survived by a brother Dennie Ensor and sister Jesseline Ensor.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Onnie Jemema Lowe Ensor. His children, Sandra and husband Mike Patrick, Clarksville, Tn. Debbie Heaton and husband Eric, Elizabethton, Amy and husband Tank Morrell, Elizabethton and Audra and husband David Wood, Elizabethton. He loved his four grandchildren Brittany Heaton, Cody and Sasha Cornett, Chelsea Wood, Matthew Wood and fiancée Chelsea Grubb. The family would like to express a special thank you to his special friend Paul and Lenice Taylor.

The family will receive friends at Memorial Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. and the Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel on Friday, December 20, 2019, with son-in-law Pastor Eric Heaton and grandson Rev. Matthew Wood, officiating. Pallbearers will be Donald Ensor, John Ensor, Jeff Lewis, Lee Martin, Gary Morrell and Paul Taylor. Honorary Pallbearers include The Men’s Sunday School Class of Dungan Chapel Baptist Church. Music will be provided by Mrs. Joyce Salyer, soloist. Graveside Service and interment will be at 11 a.m. at the Kress Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2019. A special thank you to the staff of Amedisys Hospice and VAMC. Friends may visit with family at his residence.
