Lady Warriors seize third place in Hardee’s Classic

JONESBOROUGH – The Happy Valley Lady Warriors closed out strong in the Hardee’s Classic tournament being played at David Crockett High School as Coach Thomas Gouge’s team dealt the Lady Falcons of Volunteer a 57-42 defeat for third place in the tournament.
Shalyn Whitson and Kadie Bailey combined to score 10 points each to lead the Lady Warriors to the win as 11 Happy Valley players hit the scoring column.
Kenzie Bailey and Emily Lunceford knocked down eight points apiece in the win while Autumn Henegar totaled seven.
Emma Blevins added a nice game offensively tallying six points. Gabby Wood (3), Kenzie Keller (2), Olivia Absher (1), Keile Hall (1), and Casey Campbell (1) closed out the scoring for Happy Valley.
The Lady Warriors were busting the eyes out of the net from beyond the arc as they sank eight treys in the contest.
Henegar, Blevins, and Bailey recorded two treys each while Ramey and Wood added one each.
