Person of interest identified in threat made on Elizabethton High School

Law enforcement has identified a person of interest in regard to the threat made earlier against Elizabethton High School where violence was threatened on Tuesday by the claim made on SnapChat.
Public relations coordinator Nicole Moore of the Elizabethton City School system released the following information at 11:54 pm Monday evening:
“The fast action of the Elizabethton Police Department, TBI, FBI, and Homeland Security coordinated to intervene the threat this evening. Elizabethton City Schools Administration is thankful for the quick and accurate response to the earlier threat.
“All agencies were able to identify the person of interest and are further investigating the threat. All Elizabethton City Schools will remain on a regular schedule with increased police presence for Tuesday, November 19th.”
Parents and students along with teachers were notified of the threat earlier in the evening and to make them aware of the increased police presence for Tuesday.
