The Elizabethton Police Department released the following release to their tip411 app at 11:50 pm Monday.
“As a result of the quick reporting of the threat and tips from the community, police department investigators have been able to identify, locate, and file charges on a juvenile suspect.
“We appreciate the cooperation, coordination, and assistance of our officers and investigators received from Elizabethton City Schools, Carter County Sheriff’s Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and our dispatchers at Carter County 911 that allowed a quick resolution in this case.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we will continue with plans of increased police presence at EHS tomorrow.”
