Weston Scott Cosey, 6, Elizabethton, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019, in the Johnson City Medical Center as the results of a motorcycle accident. He was born May 23, 2013 in Johnson City.
Weston was in the 1st Grade at Valley Forge Elementary School where he played basketball with the Valley Forge Eagles. He loved motor cross racing. Weston loved to make people laugh and lived life with no fear. He loved to fish, go to the drag strip with his dad and loved his Mohawk haircut. He was a member of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Heather Allen; his father, Jordan Cosey; his brothers, Jordan Ray Cosey and Jackson Neyland Jenkins; his maternal grandmother, Tammy Allen; his paternal grandfather, William Cosey; his paternal grandmother, Donna Lisa Woodby; his maternal great-grandmother, Jeanette Mullins; his paternal great-grandparents, William Cosey Jr., Virginia Sikes and Viola Simerly; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that were family.
A service to celebrate the life of Weston Scott Cosey will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 14, at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church, 3405 Gap Creek Road, Hampton, Tenn., with Pastor Brandon Young officiating. Music will be provided by Emily Howard and the Harmony Free Will Baptist Church Choir. The graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 15, in the Whitehead Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jordan Cosey, Jordan Ray Cosey, William Cosey, Cody Marlow, Trevor McMahan and Zach Norwood. Honorary pallbearers will be his church family, the staff and students of Valley Forge Elementary School, the Valley Forge Junior Cadet Basketball Team and members of the Hampton Fire Department. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church. Friends may also visit with the family at his residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
