Star Photo/Amber Wadovick The Elizabethton community gathered at the Veterans Memorial Wall Monday to honor their local veterans.
Star Photo/Amber Wadovick City Council member Bill Carter spoke on the history of the Memorial Wall, which features the name of local veterans of all wars since World War I. The Memorial sits in the heart of downtown Elizabethton, featuring over 250 names in total.
Elizabethton honored their local veterans Monday with a special ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Wall in downtown. The honor guard gave a brief gun salute, people sang and city council member Bill Carter talked about the history of the memorial wall.
