A look at Unaka’s win over Sunbright

As the Unaka Rangers prepare for their opening-round playoff game at Greenback, the Rangers put together their best game of the season to close out the 2019 regular season with a win over Sunbright.
Taking a look at the defensive stats show that Nick Bowers led the Rangers in tackles against the Tiger with 12 tackles including three for loss, one sack, and one fumble recovery.
Devin Ramsey contributed defensively with eight tackles and one punt blocked while Austin Drew added six tackles with two being tackles for loss.
On the offensive side of the football, quarterback Landon Ramsey had a standout night completing 12-of-17 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns while giving up one interception. Mark Nealon was 1-of-1 for 43 yards.
From a receiving perspective, Daniel Shearl caught one pass for 13 yards, Devin Ramsey nabbed five receptions for 89 yards and a score while Drew had an outstanding night catching six passes for 150 yards, two touchdowns, and added a two-point conversion.
Logan Benway added one catch that resulted in no gain.
Benway was solid from the backfield rushing the football for Unaka as the senior toted the pigskin 35 times for 108 yards. He added one score and completed a two-point conversion.
Landon Ramsey ran the ball six times for (-11) yards while Shearl carried twice for 12 yards and Devin Ramsey had one carry for (-14) yards.
Ranger Notes
Benway closed out his regular season for Unaka with some eye-popping numbers heading into the playoffs. The senior has 1,585 total yards with 17 touchdowns and 116 total points to date.
