Len Wright, 93, Elizabethton passed away Thursday, October 24, 2019, at his residence following an extended illness. A native of Elk Park, North Carolina, he was a son of the late Lum & Beatrice Cook Wright.  Len served in the United States Navy. He was a member of the VFW, DAV and American Legion.  He had lived in Cleveland, Ohio, for several years before returning to Elizabethton. He was a retired Mechanic. Len & Phyllis played with the Chariot Quartette for five years. He was a member of the Clifton View Baptist Church, Johnson City.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Sylvia “Phyllis” McKinney Wright. Two Sons: Larry Allen Wright, Hampton, and Ronald Len Wright, Charlotte, NC. One Granddaughter. Lisa Montoya, three great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild. One Sister: Margaret McKinney, Brunswick, Ohio… Several nieces & nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Friday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Claude Babb and Rev. Chris Hughes officiating. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 26, 2019, in the McKinney Cemetery, Hampton. Music will be provided by Karen Parlier. Active Pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 2:10 p.m. Saturday will be: Charlie Wright, Larry Wright, Dean Burchett, Eddie Williams, Allen Parlier, and Tony Nicastro. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence.
