Deputies with the Carter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man Wednesday who was wanted for stabbing and beating a woman.

Dustin Curtis Wayne Deloach, 26, is charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment. Deputies went to Deloach’s home late Wednesday night and determined that he was inside. Upon entering and searching the residence, they found Deloach hiding in a cutout in the wall behind a false door. He was then taken into custody.

The charges came as a result of an investigation that took place Saturday. A woman reported to deputies that Deloach had choked her, pushed her down and stomped on her head, punched her and stabbed her with a knife when she attempted to flee. Deputies observed wounds to the woman’s body consistent with the attack she described, and issued a warrant for Deloach’s arrest.
