Saturday was a special day in Elizabethton as the seventh annual Race for Wandell was running around the neighborhoods of Eastside Elementary with over 100 competitive runners coming out to participate and raise money to support Dr. Josh Wandell and his family and to bring awareness to ALS, the disease that Wandell has courageously battled.
It was an overcast morning which was perfect for running the race on as runners young and old, two-legged and four-legged took to the pavement.
When the dust settled, there were state record marks that had fallen in different age groups and categories making it a more special race day as the temperatures provided the prime opportunity for marks to fall.
The following are the final top five results for each age division and category.
