FROM STAFF REPORTS
For every step the Unaka Rangers have been taking so far this season, it seems that they slip two back as the boys from Stoney Creek traveled to Jellico looking to pick up a key conference win which is important for seeding in the playoffs.

The Rangers were close early trailing only 10-8 on a Logan Benway touchdown run and a Devin Ramsey two-point conversion from quarterback Daniel Shearl.

However, Jellico took advantage of playing on their home field and pulled away to seal a 30-16 victory.

Benway also scored the second touchdown of the game for Unaka and converted the two-point conversion to make up the scoring for the Rangers.

The Rangers will be back on the friendly confines of Goddard Field next Friday when they welcome cross-county and non-conference foe Happy Valley to Stoney Creek.
