Schedule of activities at the Elizabethton Senior Center for the week of September 9-13:

Membership Dues: $15 per year for 60 and older; $30 per year for 55-59. Come and join us and receive a monthly newsletter, have lunch, and enjoy the many activities and programs we provide every day and our fully-equipped fitness room.

Monday:  Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, 10 a.m. Going over the first chapter of the “Grandfamily Guidebook.” — New members are welcome to join at anytime. Topic: Starting back to school and the challenges this brings; Lunch — Beef Stroganoff, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Tuesday: Walk with Ease, 8-9 a.m.; Native American Program with Will Whitley, 10 a.m. History of Native Americans in our region and artifacts to observe; Lunch — Country Style Steak, 11 a.m.; Line Dancing — Beginners’ Class, 12-1 p.m.; Line Dancing — Advanced Class, 1-2:30 p.m.

Wednesday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Lunch — Turkey Sandwich, 11 a.m.; Chair Yoga, 12:15-1:15 p.m.; Gentle-Flow Yoga, 1:30-2:30 p.m.

Thursday: Walk with Ease, 8-9 a.m.; Dancercize, 9:30-10:30 a.m.; Lunch — Chili Dog, 11 a.m.; Oil Painting, 12-4 p.m. Bob Ross Method with Instructor, Jay Holdway. Instruction and supplies to complete a picture in one afternoon at a cost of $50.

Friday: Just Keep Movin’ — Cardio, Toning, Strength Building, 9-10 a.m.; Let’s Play Bingo, 10 a.m.; Lunch — Breaded Pork Chop, 11 a.m.; Playing Hand & Foot, 11:30 a.m.

SAVE THE DATE: Senior Health Fair is coming up Tuesday, Sept. 17, from 9-11 a.m. 30+ vendors will have tables set up for you to get informational and free handouts. Walgreens will be here giving flu shots. No charge with your Medicare card. Massage therapist will be giving neck massages. Blood pressure checks and many other services will be provided. Snacks will be available. Everyone welcome. Come by and discover the many services provided in our area. Sponsored by the Elizabethton/Carter County SALT Council.
