Driving it home… Lady Cyclones pick up big Three Rivers road win over Lady Patriots

After taking a lump on the head in their first match of the season, the Elizabethton Lady Cyclone volleyball team has decided to dole out some lumps of their own.
 
On Thursday, the Lady Cyclones traveled to Bluff City to take on a tough Sullivan East Lady Patriot team and when the dust settled after a match that lasted over two hours, the Lady Cyclones pulled off a tough road win in four games winning 29-27, 22-25, 27-25, and 25-15 to run their season record to 2-1.
 
Senior Morgan Smith has been in these pressure-packed games and as a result, took the leadership role on her shoulders in the match as Smith had 15 kills and 18 digs to lead her team to the win.
 
Brittany Kitchens and Whitley Maupin also had played solidly adding nine kills apiece with Kitchens chipping in with 10 digs and Maupin nine.
 
Libro Deanna Hull added 29 digs as well in the win.
The Lady Cyclones will be hosting the Cyclone Invitational Saturday inside A.L. Treadway Gymnasium.
