First Christian
The music group “Lifted” will lead the evening service Sept. 1 at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. The group is composed of Tony Rominger, Loretta Bowers, Fred Goodwin, Rusty Melton, and Pat Kelly.
The service will begin at 6 p.m.
Sunday services at First Christian Church include morning worship at 9:45 a.m. followed by Sunday School. The evening service is at 6 p.m. as is the Wednesday service.
Fridays, food clients who have appointments for that day will pick up boxes. Call the church if you would like to make an appointment and check eligibility for a food box.

Calvary Baptist
Calvary Baptist Church, 225 Holly Lane, invites the public to join the congregation Sunday, Aug. 25, as they celebrate the church’s 90th Anniversary.
The celebration of worship will begin at 10:40 a.m.
“We would love for you and your family to join us on this joyous occasion and celebration of God’s faithfulness through the years,” said Pastor Jacob W. Guinn.

Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will observe its 176th Homecoming Sunday, Aug. 25.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Special music will be provided by Award Winning Southern Gospel Group, The Bowling Family. A covered dish meal will be served in the fellowship hall following the services.
There will be no Sunday School, Children’s Church or Evening Services.
Dr. D Alan King, pastor, invites everyone, including past members, to attend this very special service.

Mountain City Tent Revival
The Mountain City Tent Revival will continue through August 30.
Services are being held at the Way of the Cross Revival Center, 1677 S. Shady St., Mountain City.
Preaching this evening will be David Lyalls with special singing by the Josh Jones family.
Saturday, Berry Dunn and Darin Thompson will preach with music by Mike Upright and Josh Jones; Monday, Jerry McClain will preach with music by Mercy River; Tuesday, Jerry McClain will preach and music will be by Middle Cross; Wednesday, Billy Morefield will preach and the Agee Family will sing; Thursday, Nathan Jennings will preach and Mountain Fellowship will sing; Friday, Brandon Young will preach and the Simple Faith Quartet will sing.
The services begin at 7 p.m. and the public is invited to attend.

Gateway Apostolic Church
Revival services will be held Sept. 5-8 at Gateway Apostolic Church, located on Stoney Creek Highway (at the airport, turn left at the red light and then left on Jenny Lynn Drive.)
Services will begin at 7 p.m. and the evangelists are T.R. and Carla Dunn.
The pastor, Terry Carver, invites the public to attend.

Southside Free Will
Southside Free Will Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming Sunday.
Special singing will be presented by Kenny and Kathy Letchoe at the 11 a.m. service followed by preaching by Kenny Letchoe.
There will be no evening service.
Everyone is invited.

Lynn Valley Baptist
Lynn Valley Baptist Church will have their free clothing give-away Thursday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and also on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9 to 11 a.m.

First United Methodist
“Unshakeable” is the sermon topic for the Sunday morning service Aug. 25 at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The sermon is based on the scripture Heb. 12; 18-29.
Morning worship begins at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
Wednesday evening Life Lessons will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the church fellowship hall.
Also, Coolagers will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
The 4-12 Junior High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. and the Senior High Ministries will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m. Sunday.
The church is located at 325 E. E St., and the Rev. Raymond Amos, Sr. is pastor.
