The new partnership between the Elizabethton/Carter County Boys and Girls Club and Witten Huddle is already accomplishing what was intended from the very beginning and that was to teach young boys and girls how to play the game of football starting at an early age.
With the season kicking off on Saturday morning and the stands at Citizens Bank Stadium filled with family and friends, the three teams came together to enjoy a beautiful morning of football.
With the teams switching between offense and defense, there were plenty of exciting plays from both sides of the football.
And what would the game of football be without cheerleaders as a large squad of little Cyclone cheerleaders was keeping the fans pepped up from the sidelines?
The flag games will be played on Saturday mornings at either Elizabethton High School or T.A. Dugger Junior High according to Boys Club athletic director Rik Anderson.
