Jr. Cyclones host Norris for Saturday scrimmage

On a gorgeous but hot Saturday afternoon, the T.A. Dugger Jr. High Cyclones welcomed the Norris Senators from Anderson County to Citizens Bank Stadium for a scrimmage as both teams continued to prepare for the upcoming season.

Jr. Cyclone fans got a good taste of what they can expect from Coach Brock Pittman’s squad as the Cyclone defense showed a lot of resilience after falling behind two scores before settling in to limit the Senators the remainder of the untimed scrimmage.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Jr. Cyclones were mixing in an excellent running game with an effective passing game that caused a lot of problems for the defensive side of the Senator team.

A big crowd filled the stands to see both teams compete with several fans making the drive from Anderson County as well.

This may not be the only time the two teams will see each other if the regional playoff matchups remain the same on down the road when players reach the high school level.
