JOHNSON CITY – The East Tennessee State University Department of

Intercollegiate Athletics announced Thursday the names of five former Buccaneers who will make up the 2019 induction class into the ETSU Athletics Hall of Fame.

The group features football greats David Holtsclaw and Brandon Walker, men’s basketball standout Calvin Talford, women’s track and field star Michelle Gregg and baseball slugger Caleb Moore.

“It is an honor to welcome these extraordinary Buccaneers into the 2019 class of the ETSU Athletics Hall of Fame,” said ETSU Athletic Director Scott Carter. These individuals have set a standard of excellence for all that follow them.

“Our university and athletics program look forward to the weekend of September 20-21, 2019, when we formally induct these tremendous

athletes into the Hall of Fame and celebrate their storied careers as ETSU Buccaneers.”

Together this group of athletes represents over four decades of competition and accumulated five All-Americans, 11 team championships, ten individual championships and ten all-conference

selections.

The class highlights Buccaneers from the state of Tennessee, the region and the world.

The ETSU Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony will be held on Friday, Sept. 20 inside the Carnegie Hotel. A reception will be held from 6-7 p.m., with the program and dinner starting at 7 p.m.

The public is invited to attend and tickets are priced at $65 per individual.

A weekend Hall of Fame combo ticket, which includes entry to the event on Friday and football game on Saturday, is also available for $85 per person, while a table of eight people for the Hall of Fame can be

purchased for $500.
