Clayton Stewart Guess

Clayton Stewart Guess, 71, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, at Hermitage Health Care of Elizabethton. A native of Elizabethton, he was the son of the late Raymond Guess and Nora Renfro Guess.
Mr. Guess was a farmer. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and rabbit hunting with his two beagles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Cheryl Penny Campbell Guess, of the home; his children, Adam Guess and wife Kim, Watauga, Lori Blackwell and husband Jason, Elizabethton, Lisa Guess, Hampton, Johnny Stines of North Carolina, Johnny Oaks, Hampton, Mack Oaks, Hampton, and Shane Oaks, Elizabethton; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Luther Guess, Elizabethton; and a sister, Sadie Wagner, Smithville, Tenn. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to honor the life of Clayton Stewart Guess will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, in the Johnson-Roanview Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Matthew Oaks, Alex Oaks, Stewart Guess, Malakhi Guess, Chase Blackwell and Caleb Oaks.
