Elizabethton student receives TCA Educational Scholarship

An Elizabethton student, Madison Smith, has received a scholarship from the Tennessee Cattlemen and Tennessee Cattlewomen Associations. He was one of five students receiving the scholarships, which are awarded on an application basis.
The application includes 4-H and FFA involvement, letter of reference from a teacher or industry leader, and an essay explaining an issue impacting the beef industry in Tennessee. Applicants must also be a member of the Tennessee Cattlemen’s Youth Association, or their parent/grandparent must be a member of TCA.
Smith and Jesse Millsaps of Winchester received a TCA scholarship; Samantha Bussell of Carthage received the Tennessee Cattlewomen’s scholarship. Karley Warner of Spencer received the Bill Tyrell Memorial Scholarship; and Emily Johnson from Loudon won the Joe Houston Memorial Scholarship.
Smith will be attending UT Martin.
