Whether fishing or playing the Watauga River provides the water

With the heat of summer upon the Carter County area, many people are finding relief at many bodies of water, whether it’s the Watauga Lake or the Watauga River.
A recent Saturday gave plenty of sunshine and heat for those wanting to hit the river for a chance to either enjoy the day floating down the river in rafts or for standing in a fishing boat trying for that trophy trout.
When it got too hot, many just took a cooling plunge in the cold, refreshing waters.
