Carter County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested 56-year-old Terry Charles Taylor after receiving a possible burglary call Wednesday morning.

A deputy responded to a call on Gap Creek Road at approximately 3 a.m. and found Taylor and a woman inside a residence. Taylor claimed they had permission from the home owner to be in the house. While investigating, the deputy found a black bag containing syringes and a substance that appeared to be methamphetamine. When questioned, Taylor admitted that the illegal items were his. The deputy then placed him under arrest.

Taylor is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. He is being held in the Carter County Detention Center on a $5,500 bond.
