Elizabethton PD officers make drug arrest after search warrant on a vehicle

On Tuesday, May 28, Officers of the Elizabethton Police Department responded to 135 West Elk Avenue to execute a search warrant on a vehicle belonging to an employee of that business. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the owner of the vehicle, identified as Taylor Crowe.  During the execution of the search warrant of the vehicle the following items were located: a Ziploc bag containing approximately 67.02 grams of a crystal substance consistent with the appearance of methamphetamine, a baggie containing a brown powdery substance consistent with the appearance of heroin, a baggie containing fifteen and one half green oval pills later determined by electronic means to be Alprazolam 2mg (Schedule IV), a digital scale, numerous baggies, three prepaid credit cards, and $3,858 cash. Due to the above facts Crowe was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale (T.C.A. 39-17-434), Schedule I Drug Violations for Resale T.C.A. (39-17-417), Schedule IV Drug Violations for Resale T.C.A. (39-17-417), Drug Free School Zone T.C.A. (39-17-432), and Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia T.C.A. (39-17-425).
