Offices at the Carter County Courthouse and Elizabethton City Hall will be closed Monday due to Memorial Day.

Also, the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library and Elizabethton Senior Center will be closed.

Due to the holiday closing, garbage pickup for the city has been altered. Monday through Thursday collections will be made late with Thursday and Friday being collected on Friday.

Also, in observance of the holiday, the Elizabethton Star and all state and federal offices will be closed as will all financial institutions in the city.
