First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will continue his sermon series Power In His Name at the morning worship service Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon will be taken from Acts 16, the conversion of Lydia.
The service will begin at 9:45 a.m. and worship will be led by David Mills. Jeff Campbell will have the communion meditation and Mitch Broyles will read scripture. Janie Broyles will provide special music.
There will be no evening service Sunday.
Bible study will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Cove Creek
Revival will begin May 13 at Cove Creek Community Church, Roan Mountain, with services each evening at 7 p.m.
The evangelist will be Marcus Benfield. Special singing will be provided at each service.

Lynn Valley Baptist
Lynn Valley Baptist Church, 1367 Broad St., Elizabethton, will begin accepting donations for its clothes closet each Monday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clothes closet is held the first Saturday of each month from 9 to 11 a.m. in the church annex. Clothing is available to all ages for men, women and children.

Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits, gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items will be available on request.
The cost is $7.
The public is invited to come and enjoy both the food and fellowship.

Siam Baptist
Siam Baptist Church’s Children’s Choir will present the musical “The 50th Annual Polk County Picnic” this Sunday during the 11 a.m. worship service.
The musical focuses on forgiveness and coming home to God’s Amazing Grace, no matter how far we’ve wandered away from our heavenly Father.
The church is located at 2414 Siam Road.

First United Methodist
“Lambs in the HAND of God,” based on John 10:22-30, is the title of Pastor Raymond Amos’s sermon Sunday at First United Methodist Church.
Mothers and upcoming high school graduates will be recognized at the morning service, which begins at 9:55 a.m.
Sunday School begins at 11:20 a.m.
The 4:12 Jr. High Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m. Senior High Ministries will meet from 5:30 to 7:15 p.m., and Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Wednesday Night Life Lessons will be held at 6 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.

First Presbyterian
The pastor, Dr. Brian Wyatt, will preach Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at First Presbyterian Church, 119 W. F St., Elizabethton.
His sermon is titled “Waking Up.”
An Education Hour will be held at 9:45 a.m.
Other opportunities of the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class, Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m.; and yoga, Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
