Seven arrested in joint Carter County & Elizabethton drug investigation

Seven people are in custody after the joint drug task force from the Carter County Sheriff’s Office and Elizabethton Police Department executed a search warrant on Bill Nave Loop early Thursday morning.
Investigators found a quantity of methamphetamine and several prescription medications inside the residence. They also discovered several items of drug paraphernalia, both for selling and consuming narcotics.
Officers found suspects Jared Carrier and Tonya Goulds had outstanding warrants and placed them under arrest. Keith Fortner, Clarence Lunceford, Jeffery Lunceford, Sharla Morgan and Mary Woods were arrested on new charges. All seven are being held in the Carter County Detention Center.
These arrests came as the result of a two-month investigation into complaints of ongoing drug use and trafficking at the residence.

Keith Lynn Fortner (55) — Schedule II Drug Violations, Schedule III Drug Violations, Schedule IV Drug Violations, Manufacture, Delivery, Sale, or Possession of Methamphetamine, Paraphernalia Possession, Maintaining a Dwelling Where Narcotics Are Sold, $50,000 bond
Tonya Marann Goulds (40) — [Warrant] Failure to Appear, Original Charge Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia Possession, $25,000 bond
Clarence David Lunceford (53) – Schedule II Drug Violations, Paraphernalia Possession, Maintaining a Dwelling Where Narcotics Are Sold, $16,000 bond
Jeffery Lee Lunceford (49) — Schedule VI Drug Violations, Paraphernalia Possession, Maintaining a Dwelling Where Narcotics Are Sold, $16,000 bond
Sharla Dawn Morgan (42) — Paraphernalia Possession, Manufacture, Delivery, Sale, or Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Dwelling Where Narcotics Are Sold, $30,000 bond
Mary Elizabeth Woods (31) — Schedule V Drug Violations, Paraphernalia Possession, $5,000 bond
