Cyclones celebrate 100th baseball team, Alumni Night

Monday evening was a special evening at Joe O’Brien Field as the 100th year of Cyclone baseball was recognized as well as former alumni were in attendance to celebrate being a part of the baseball program at Elizabethton.
Jarrod Ellis, the current Register of Deeds for Carter County, was given the honors of tossing out the first pitch. Ellis was a pitcher for the Cyclones and a member of the Class of 1999.
Current members of the Cyclone youth league teams joined the current baseball team at each respective position for the national anthem.
Quantum Leap was on hand to give out free one-hour passes as well as T-shirts that were shot into the stands and students participated in fun games to win prizes including tickets to an upcoming Twins game.
A large crowd was in attendance and enjoyed the Cyclones 13-3 win over the visiting Central Cougars.
