Melinda Smith Bentulan

Born in Elizabethton on May 17, 1967 to the late Ted and Peggy Smith of Hampton, Melinda passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019, in Knoxville after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, and the light and love of her life, her daughter, Morgan Powell, both of Knoxville, her sister and brother-in-law, Melissa and Jim Williams, niece, Danielle Williams, and great-nephew, Axel Matherly, all of Hampton.
Melinda was a 1985 graduate of Hampton High School and a graduate of ETSU. She had been employed by District Attorneys Office, Carter County Health Department and Frontier Health. She was retired due to disability. It was Melinda’s wishes to be cremated and no services to be held.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to an ongoing educational fund for her daughter Morgan, who is a Junior at UT, c/o Melissa Williams, 506 Crook Street, Hampton, TN 37658.
