Lady Bulldogs claims first win; Unaka softball competes in Eastman Tourney

Behind the pitching of Bailey Andrews and hot bats, the Hampton Lady Bulldogs dispatched Mitchell County, 15-5, for their first win of the season.
Andrews picked up the win in the circle while teammates Maddie Setlock, Sara Orr, and Sophie Cable each had two hits apiece.
Hampton’s Reagan Baker had three runs for the Lady ‘Dogs.
Lady Rangers top Patrick Henry, fall to Morristown East
In Unaka’s 2-0 win over Patrick Henry, the scoreboard was blank until the fourth inning when the Lady Rangers posted their only runs.
In the fourth, Unaka’s Erika Potter hit an RBI single to score teammate Sadie Shoun before Potter came on the home during an error in right field.
In the circle, both Kailey Wilson (4 innings, 1 hit, 1 strikeout) and Sadie Shoun (2 innings, 2 hits, 1 strikeout) both saw time for a combined shutout.
The Lady Rangers only had two hits against Patrick Henry with those come from Potter and Madison Pierce.
Against Morristown East, the Lady Rangers fell, 8-1.
Unaka baseball tops Providence Academy
Both John Ramsey and Daniel Ensor went 3-of-4 while Ramsey collected two RBIs during the Rangers 11-8 win over Providence Academy.
For Unaka, Daniel Shearl picked up the win on the mound.
