Norma Ruth Irick Dugger

Norma Ruth Irick Dugger, 80, of Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 28, 2019, from Johnson City Medical Center.
A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas M. and Etta Oakes Irick.
Norma was a graduate of Hampton High School and attended East Tennessee State College. She was employed at North American Rayon Corporation and the Magnavox Corporation prior to her retirement.
Norma was a member of the Valley Forge Christian Church where she was a member of the church choir. She loved quilting, sewing and knitting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steve Dugger, November 2018; two brothers, Jack and B. Irick; and a sister, Vesta Bowman.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Clyde Dugger; her children, Glenn Dugger and wife Greta, Daytona Beach, Fla., and Sherry Ayers and husband Steve, Johnson City; her daughter-in-law, Ginger Dugger; her brother, Ted Irick, Roan Mountain; her sister, Lois Morrell, Piney Flats; seven grandchildren, Nathan Dugger, Bethany Wachterman, Emily Dugger, Ian Dugger, Makia Tenner, Austin Ayers and Eli Ayers; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Norma Ruth Irick Dugger will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. David Siebenaler, minister, officiating. Music will be provided by the Valley Forge Christian Church Choir and Frieda Winters, harpist. The graveside service and interment will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 31, in the Whitehead Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 1:50 p.m. Sunday to go to the cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at our website at www.memorialfcelizabethton.com.
