New Liberty
New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church will have a fundraiser during the 11 a.m. worship service to assist Johnny Ensor with medical expenses as he completes ongoing treatment in Houston, Texas.
Johnny is a teacher at Unaka Elementary School and a former longtime coach at Unaka High School.
The Rev. Nick Colbaugh, pastor, invites all family and friends to attend this fundraiser effort to benefit Johnny and his family.
Anyone unable to attend the Sunday service may call (423) 791-1851 or (423) 474-2841 to gain information on how to contribute if they desire.

Zion Baptist
Zion Baptist Church, 1982 Gap Creek Road, will host Dr. Ralph Sexton, Jr., from Asheville, N.C., Monday, March 11, and Tuesday, March 12.
Services will begin at 7 p.m. each evening.
The congregation will have the McKameys from Clinton, Tenn., on Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. There is no admission charge. Doors will open at 6 p.m.

First Christian
Minister Michael Klaus will bring the message at the 9:45 a.m. worship service Sunday at First Christian Church, Elizabethton. He will continue his sermon series “Revive Us Lord.”
David Mills will lead worship and Al Whirledge will have the communion meditation. David Shields will read the morning scripture.
The Sunday evening service will begin at 6 p.m.
Bible study will be held Wednesday at 6 p.m. with choir practice to follow.

First United Methodist
“How Long Can Forty Days Be?” is the title of Rev. Raymond Amos, Sr.’s message Sunday at morning worship at First United Methodist Church, Elizabethton. The message is based on Luke 4: 1-13.
The service will begin at 9:55 a.m. followed by Sunday School at 11:20 a.m.
The Junior High 4:12 Student Ministries will meet Sunday from 4:12 to 5:25 p.m., and the Senior High Ministries will meet Sunday at 5:30 p.m. The Coolagers will meet Wednesday at 6 p.m.
The Wednesday Evening Life Lessons will be at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall.

Upper Gap Creek
The Rev. John Harrington will be the guest speaker Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at Upper Gap Creek Free Will Baptist Church, 1380 Dry Creek Road.
The Rev. Dale Blevins, pastor, invites the public to attend.

Unaka Baptist
The Brotherhood at Unaka Baptist Church will have a country-style breakfast Saturday from 7 to 10 a.m.
The menu will include biscuits and gravy, eggs, two kinds of sausage, bacon and hash brown potatoes. Other items are available on request.
The cost is $7 with proceeds going to the church building fund.
All are invited.

Lynn Valley
An All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast will be held Saturday at Lynn Valley Baptist Church in the Christian Life Center, beginning at 7 a.m.
The cost is $7 and proceeds will help with the purchase of new choir robes.
The church is located on Broad Street Ext. and the Rev. Dennis Wilson is pastor. Larry Adams is choir director.

First Presbyterian
The pastor, the Rev. Dr. Brian Wyatt, will preach Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service at First Presbyterian Church, Elizabethton. His sermon, “Deconstructing God,” is based on scripture from I John 4:16, Col. 1:15, and Ex. 3: 15-18.
An Education Hour for all ages is at 9:15 a.m.
Other opportunities for the week include Meditation at 7 p.m. Wednesday; the Thursdays with Jesus Reading Group from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday; Exercise Class from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. Thursday; and yoga from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday.

Fairview United Methodist
Fairview United Methodist Church will hold a Country Steak Dinner/Music Fundraiser on Saturday, March 9, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Everyone is invited to come and bring your friends and neighbors to enjoy great fellowship with music by Sunnyside Gospel Quartet.
Eat-in or take-out; no pre-orders. The dinner is served with rolls and drinks for an $8 donation for an adult meal, and a $3 donation for a kids meal.
The meals are prepared and served by the Fairview Methodist Men’s Group to support their Missions and Outreach programs.
The church is located at 878 Highway 81 North, about five miles from downtown Jonesborough going towards Fall Branch.
