Reva “Lucy” Hochstetler

Reva “Lucy” Hochstetler, 77, of Elizabethton, was granted her wish and went home on March 1, 2019 at her residence. Lucy was born in Watauga, Tenn., to the late Josh and Reva Humphrey Bishop. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, April Lee Hochstetler; a son, Ricky Lee Shafer; and 16 brothers and sisters.
Lucy loved all people and her entire family. She attended the Church of God. She had, alongside her husband, been a truck driver. Lucy enjoyed working in her garden and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her wonderful memories include her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Levi Hochstetler, of the home; four children, Debby Sermersheim (Reggie), Teresa Forbes (Jeff Kleiner), Don Shafer (Chris) and Dean Shafer; 66 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters.
