Randy Lee Bowers, 309-1/2 East Cottage Avenue, Elizabethton, passed away February 21, 2019, after a brief illness. He was the son of the late James Monroe and Elizabeth Bowers.
He is survived by sisters, Linda Bowers, Emma Jo Bowers, Diana Hill and Margaret Morris, and his brothers, Jerry, David and Eddie Bowers, all of Elizabethton; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his aunt, Geraldine Baird; and his special little dog friend “Pete.”
Randy was a very special and gifted person. He was known as “Red Man” to everyone who knew him. He loved going to concerts and rock music. He especially loved Hank Williams Jr.
We would like to thank his doctor, Kimberly Kleine (who was very special to him), his therapist, Gordon, his home health nurses and his Social Workers. We can’t thank these people enough for everything they did for Randy; they made a big difference in his life in just the last few months. Randy will be terribly missed by all of us. Randy chose to give his body to research to help other people.
A private memorial service will be at a later date.
