Former Hampton standout Shyanne Tuelle is still rolling at Campbell University.
For the second time this season, Tuelle earned a Big South Freshman of the Year selection this week.
This past Tuesday, Tuelle showed off some heroics. With the Camels trailing Charleston South, 51-49, Tuelle, like she did many times for the Lady Bulldogs, hit a clutch 3-pointer with just 25 seconds of the game to lift Campbell University past Charleston 52-51.
Tuelle finished the game with eight points and two 3-pointers.
The win moved the Camels to 16-9 on the season and 8-6 in the Big South.
Campbell University is on a two-game winning streak after topping Gardener Webb, 69-63. In that win, Tuelle led the Camels with a career-high 18 points.
Tuelle and the Camels will be back on the court this Saturday as they travel to Radford.
Johnson making
impact at UVA-Wise
The UVA-Wise Cavaliers are on a four-game winning streak.
And over their last three wins, former Happy Valley Lady Warrior Kalee Johnson has hit double digits. Her best performance, however, came as the Cavs topped Fairmont State University on Valentine’s Day. Johnson posted a game-high 22 points as she went 9-of-17 in field goal attempts. She would also record two 3-pointers.
Johnson, a redshirt sophomore, has scored 184 points this season while seeing 358 minutes of playing time.
Johnson and the Cavs (13-12, 11-8) will be back on the floor this Saturday as they travel to Notre Dame College.

This past Saturday, Jones had 22 points during the Royals 121-102 win over Pfeiffer University.
Johnson University continued play in the Mid-East Regional Friday night against Grace Christian University.
