Barbara Jean Allen Brickey

Barbara Jean Allen Brickey, 77, of Elizabethton, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019, at Johnson City Medical Center after an extended illness.
A native of Candler, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Chester and Hazel DeHart Allen. She had lived a number of years in Elizabethton.
Barbara was a graduate of Enka High School, Enka, N.C. She was a retired Phlebotomist at Johnson City Medical Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Brickey, October 17, 2018, and two sisters, Johnnie McIntyre and Catherine Ballard.
Survivors include two children, Tammy Bishop and Wendi Hardin, both of Elizabethton; three grandchildren, Breck Bishop, Chase Markland and Zac Workman; two sisters, Linda Broms and husband Gary and Rita Valladares and husband Jose, and a brother, Ricky Taylor, all of Candler, N.C.
It was her wish to be cremated and no services are planned.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is serving the Brickey family.
