Richard Lee Fenner

Richard Lee Fenner, 71, of Elizabethton, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019, at his residence. Richard was born in Elizabethton to the late Virginia Ruth Fenner White. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Donnie White; several aunts, uncles and cousins; along with his dog, “Coco.”
Richard had been employed as a bowling lane installer and was a United States Army veteran. He enjoyed reading, movies, watching sports, especially the University of Tennessee Vols, and spending time with his dog, “Buddy.”
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 47 years, Linda Garland Fenner, of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Reesman of Butler; one nephew, Donnie White of Elizabethton; two uncles, David Fenner of Roan Mountain and Bill Fenner of Elizabethton; and his best friend, “Buddy.” He is also survived by several cousins.
It was Richard’s wish to be cremated and no formal services are planned. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Carter County Animal Shelter, P.O.
