Lady Warriors pick up second win at Carolina Invitational, Henegar sets 3-point record

The Happy Valley Lady Warriors are now 2-0 at the Carolina Invitational in Charleston, South Carolina.

Thursday, after an enormous 36-point game from Adrienne Henegar, the Lady Warriors scooted past Cross (S.C.), 53-23, to open up tournament play.

In the Cross win, Henegar knocked down nine 3-pointers for a Happy Valley School record. The rest of the Lady Warriors combined for 15 points with HV’s Tianna Long picking up five points to follow up Henegar. Henegar had five 3-pointers in the first half before picking up four in the second half.

Today, Happy Valley topped West Ashley, 37-32. Henegar led again with 14 points while teammates Shalyn Whitson and Olivia Absher had 13 and 7 points, respectively. Coming into today’s game West Ashley was 10-1 on the season and dropped to 10-2 after their lost to Happy Valley. The Lady Warriors improved to 8-5.

The Lady Warriors will now take on Greer (S.C.)  in the championship Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
