Cecil H. Whitehead

Cecil H. Whitehead, 77, of Elizabethton, Tenn., passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at his residence. A lifelong resident of Carter County, he was the son of the late Fred N. and Ida L. Moore Whitehead.
Mr. Whitehead retired from the Elizabethton Housing Authority in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of Valley Forge Freewill Baptist Church and a member of the Moose Lodge and the Elks Club.
Those left to cherish his memory include a brother, Allen Whitehead, Watauga; three sisters, Doris Morgan, Elizabethton, Norma Jean Tolley, Hampton, and Virginia Moore, Elizabethton; and a special friend, Annis Deal, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service to honor the life of Cecil H. Whitehead will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 20, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone attending the graveside service is asked to meet at Hathaway-Percy Funeral and Cremation Services at 10:15 a.m. Thursday to go in procession to the cemetery.
